Part 365: What is Dynamics XNUMX Sales? – The difference between Sales Professional and Sales Enterprise –

Hello everyone!

This is the sixth article in our series on Dynamics 365 Sales!

This time, following on from last time, we will explain about licenses.

Differences between Sales Professional and Sales Enterprise features

Last articleSo, what are the four types of licenses for using Dynamics 365 Sales?
I just gave a brief overview.

We will explain the specific differences in the available functions for the following two licenses.
①Sales Professional
②Sales Enterprise

As explained last time, ②Sales Enterprise is better than ①Sales Professional.
The higher the price, the more features you can use.
So, the decision of which to use is
②Are you willing to pay for features that are only available in Sales Enterprise?
This is the key point.

Common features

The following features are available in both ①Sales Professional and ②Sales Enterprise.

・Lead and opportunity management
- Marketing list and simple campaign features
Product and price management
・Management of quotes, orders, and invoices
・Use of mobile and tablet apps
・Office integration (Outlook, Exchange, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, OneNote)
- Create and update custom reports/graphs/dashboards
・Application customization

Features available only in Sales Enterprise

Next, the features that can only be used with ②Sales Enterprise are as follows.

Embedded intelligence (analyzing customer interaction data from a database)
Forecasting (predicting sales for the sales team)
- Ability to group, classify and layer products
- Ability to manage information on competitors, goals, and territories
- Business card scanning function (※Available on Professional version if you purchase an AI Builder license)
- Customizing and extending standard reports/graphs/dashboards
Sales accelerator (provides sellers with the best ways to reach customers by prioritizing customer lists, etc.)
Lead/opportunity scoring (score leads and opportunities for prioritization)
・Dynamics 365 Customer Voice
Dynamics 365 Mobile offline functionality

Which one would you choose?

②Looking at the features that are only available in Sales Enterprise,
The main point is whether you want to use data analysis and intelligence functions.

Utilizing intelligence functions to improve the efficiency of sales activities,
If your top priority is to identify potential business problems through data analysis,
②I think it would be better to use the Sales Enterprise license.

If you are just starting to use Dynamics or if the system itself is not yet widely used within your company,
First, start using it with Sales Professional.
Once the data has been accumulated and is ready for analysis, and the basic usage of Dynamics has been understood,
②I think it would be a good idea to switch to a Sales Enterprise license.
