Part 365: What is Dynamics XNUMX Sales? – How to use it in sales operations (from quotes to orders and invoice completion)

Hello everyone!

This is the fourth installment of our Dynamics 365 Sales series!

In the previous article,
We provided an overview of Dynamics 365 Sales and explained how to actually use it for sales operations (from converting potential customers into opportunities and creating quotes).

Following on from the previous article, this time we will be talking about how to use it in sales work.
We will explain how to create an order and complete the invoice.

How to use Dynamics 365 Sales for sales operations

In the previous and previous articles,

This time, we will explain how to create order data based on quotation information and the process from there to complete billing.

④Create an order from a quote

In a project with our business partner, Arcus Japan Co., Ltd.,
Let's say the order is successfully confirmed.
Open the quote screen for this project that you created in the previous article and click the "Create order" button at the top of the screen.

The following screen will appear, so click "OK".

An order will be created based on the quote information.

⑤Create invoices from orders

Next, create an invoice.
From the order screen, click the "Create Invoice" button.

An invoice will be created.

⑥ Billing completed

Once the invoice is complete, click "Pay invoice" on the invoice screen.

The following screen will appear, so click "OK".

The invoice status will change to Paid and the invoice data will become read-only.

This means that the billing is complete.

This completes the basic sales workflow.

In the first to this article, we have discussed how to use Dynamics 1 Sales for basic sales tasks (leading customers to completing invoices).
