Part 1: About "Dynamics CRM" - Tweets from the Product Development Department
Dynamics CRM
How do you all read it?
- Dynamics CR M
- Dynamics C.R.M.
- Dynamic C.R.M.
- Dynamics C.A.M.
I think that 2. is the most common, but when I talk to various people, various things come up. I'm a nice person, so I don't correct them unless it's really necessary. I'm grinning inside (lol).
1. is the Japanese reading of the English word, and 3. is the silent "s"? 4. is sometimes pronounced like this by foreigners.
For those of you wondering, "What kind of blog is this?" (And you're right, haha!), please bear with me!
Why Dynamics CRM?
Needless to say, it's a CRM package provided by Microsoft.
On the HPThe Need for CRMAs you can see from the above, you can understand why CRM is necessary.
So why Dynamics CRM?
As someone who works with CRM, I have thought about why CRM should be implemented using Dynamics CRM.
That said, this is based on a comparison of packaged products...
- GUI-based customization
- Compatibility with Microsoft products and services
- Extensibility through almost complete API exposure
There are other advantages such as price, but I think these are the main reasons to choose Dynamics CRM.
Now, let me briefly explain the above three points.
1. Customization using GUI
The biggest advantage of Dynamics CRM is its built-in customization features.
For example, if you build a system from scratch (custom-made, unique system), if you want to add more screen items, it is unlikely that you will be able to do it quickly and easily. But!Dynamics CRM makes that possible! (Laughs)
That sounds like an exaggeration, but it's that simple.
Simply add the field to the desired entity and place it on the form.
Add a field called <Rank> to <Account>
- Select the entity field and click New.

The New Field screen will open.- Enter the content of the new field and click Save and Close.

Now that the field has been added, it's time to place it on the form.- Select the entity form and click the desired form.

The form editing screen will open. This time, we will edit the form displayed on the PC with the form type set to "Main."- Drag and drop Rank from the Field Explorer on the right into the Account Information section and click Save and Close.

This completes the form editing. Publish the customizations and they will be reflected on the actual screen.- Let's check it on the screen

That was easy. That was easy. That was easy.(I said it three times because it's important.)
This is getting long, so I'll wrap it up and carry it over to next time.
Next time we will cover "Compatibility with Microsoft products and services."
Stay tuned!(Just kidding. Don't expect too much.)
