Hello everyone!

This is the fourth installment of our Dynamics 365 Sales series!

In the previous article,
We provided an overview of Dynamics 365 Sales and explained how to actually use it for sales operations (from prospective customers to converting them into deals).

Following on from the previous article, this time we will be talking about how to use it in sales work.
We will explain everything from project creation to creating a quote.

How to use Dynamics 365 Sales for sales operations

In the previous article,
1. Registering potential customers, 2. Converting potential customers into business opportunitiesSince I explained that,
This time, we will explain how to create a quote based on a project.

③ Estimate creation

We will now create a quote for the project with our business partner, Arcus Japan Co., Ltd., which we created in the previous article.

Open the screen for the sales opportunity in question ("Topic 1" in the example below).

Click the Quotes tab and then click Create New Quote.

The quote data will be created in draft state.
The details of the estimate that has been created will be displayed on the screen.

Enter the required information, such as the amount, and click "Save and Close."

A quote will be created linked to the "Topic 1" project.
Similarly, if you create multiple estimates, the estimates associated with the project will be displayed in a list, as shown below.

Once the price has been agreed upon and a formal estimate is to be prepared,
Convert a draft quote into a formal one.
Click on the quote you want to open from the list of quotes below.

Click Activate Quote.

The quote's status will change to active and read-only.
This means that a formal estimate has been prepared.

This is how to use Dynamics 365 Sales from project to quote creation.
