What is the Digitalization and AI Implementation Subsidy 2026?
The "Digitalization and AI Introduction Subsidy" is the 2026 version of the subsidy formerly known as the "IT Introduction Subsidy."
The program's name was changed in fiscal year 2026, and its content was enhanced to support the use of AI and digitalization.
The government will subsidize a portion of the costs incurred by small and medium-sized enterprises and small businesses when they introduce IT tools.
EMOROCO CRM Lite is already registered as a supported tool.

Example 1: 5 users, ¥7,500 per month, 1 year
If the subsidy rate is 1/2: A subsidy of 45,000 yen.
Self-payment: 45,000 yen (effectively 3,750 yen per user per year)
Example 1: 10 users, 15,000 yen per month, for one year
If the subsidy rate is 1/2: A subsidy of 90,000 yen.
Self-payment: 90,000 yen (effectively 7,500 yen per user per year)
[ROI when using subsidies]
If subsidies halve the actual costs, the ROI will double in a simple calculation.
Normally, the ROI is 70 to 450 times, but with the use of subsidies, it can become equivalent to 140 to 900 times.

- small business person(Corporations whose capital and number of employees meet the definition under the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Basic Act)
- Small business(Manufacturing, construction, transportation, etc.: 20 employees or less; commerce, service industries, etc.: 5 employees or less)
- Sole proprietorship
Definitions of small and medium-sized enterprises by industry

Additional requirements for applicants applying for the second time or later (important)
Starting in fiscal year 2026, a wage increase requirement will be added for businesses that have previously received this subsidy and wish to reapply .
Wage increase requirements:
- Average annual growth rate of total payroll:1.5% or more
- Minimum wage within the workplace:A level that is more than 30 yen higher than the regional minimum wage.
This requirement is not necessary for first-time applicants.

The entire application process—Step by Step
Step 1: Obtain a G-BizID Prime account
A G-Biz ID (a common authentication system for corporations and sole proprietors) is required to apply for the subsidy. If you do not yet have one, please proceed with the application process first.
Time required to obtain: Approximately 2 weeks (Document verification by mail is required)
*This is the first procedure to complete once you start considering applying.
Step 2: Declaration of Security Action
You need to apply for "SECURITY ACTION," which is a declaration of the implementation of information security measures.
★Requires obtaining at least one star.
The application itself is free and can be completed on the same day.
Step 3: Consult with Arcus Japan and request a quote.
The subsidy application will be handled jointly with the IT implementation support provider (Arcus Japan). Please start by requesting a consultation and quote.
Please clearly state that you wish to implement this using subsidies.
Arcus Japan will support you with the application process.

Subsidy applications must be submitted jointly via electronic application by the "IT implementation support provider (Arcus Japan)" and the "applicant (your company)".
The system does not permit the use of unrelated administrative scriveners, consultants, etc., to act as agents for application procedures.
Step 4: Application for issuance (joint electronic application)
We will apply for the IT Introduction Subsidy through the jGrants application system in collaboration with Arcus Japan.
Main documents required for application:
- For corporations: Certificate of Registered Matters and tax returns for the two most recent fiscal years.
- For sole proprietors: Tax returns for the two most recent fiscal years.
Step 5: Wait for notification of grant approval.
You should not sign up for or implement EMOROCO CRM Lite at this stage.
Please do not begin implementation until you receive notification of the grant approval.
Implementations made before the grant decision is made will not be eligible for subsidies.
Step 6: Contract and implementation after grant approval.
After receiving notification of the grant approval, we will conclude a contract with Arcus Japan and begin implementing EMOROCO CRM Lite.
Step 7: Project completion report and receipt of subsidy
After implementation is complete, a project completion report must be submitted within the specified period. Following review, the subsidy will be transferred to the designated account.
